There has been an extensive pipe test program conducted independently at DNVGL pipe test centre at Spadeadam UK. This has included bend, burst and pressure cycling fatigue tests conduced with strain gauge instrumentation.
The key result from this test program is the close agreement between the finite element model design calculations and the physical test results. This applies to burst test behavior, bend behavior, fatigue behavior and permeation behavior.
Physical test data provides the evidential basis for the engineering design methodology which is embodied in the MASiP DESIGN GUIDE.
